Terms of Service

1. Service Description

LaceUp provides a software platform for youth soccer clubs to track player development through skill evaluations, national benchmarks, AI-powered insights, and progress reports. The service is offered on a subscription basis to clubs, with free access for coaches, players, and parents within a subscribing club.

2. Account Registration

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Club administrators are responsible for managing access within their club, including adding and removing coaches and players. Accounts for players under 13 must be created by a parent, guardian, or authorized club administrator.

3. Subscriptions & Billing

• Free tier: Available for schools, rec leagues, and independent coaches. Includes all features. No credit card required.
• Paid plans: Starter ($99/mo), Pro ($199/mo), and Academy ($349/mo) plans are available with annual discounts of 20%. Paid plans include a 14-day free trial.
• Billing: Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through Stripe. You authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.
• Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Your club will be downgraded to the free tier upon cancellation.
• Refunds: We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. If you cancel mid-cycle, you retain access until the end of your paid period.
• Price changes: We may adjust pricing with 30 days written notice to club administrators. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: use LaceUp for any purpose other than managing youth soccer player development; share login credentials with unauthorized users; attempt to access data belonging to other clubs; upload harmful, offensive, or illegal content; reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the platform; or use automated tools to scrape or collect data from LaceUp.

5. Data Ownership

Your club retains ownership of all data entered into LaceUp, including player evaluations, skill ratings, team structures, and coaching records. You grant LaceUp a limited license to store, process, and display this data solely to provide the service. Anonymized, aggregated data (with no personally identifiable information) may be used to generate national benchmarks and improve the platform. 6. AI-Generated Content

LaceUp uses artificial intelligence to generate player insights, training recommendations, and drill suggestions. AI-generated content is provided as a supplemental tool and should not replace professional coaching judgment. LaceUp does not guarantee the accuracy or suitability of AI-generated recommendations. Coaches and club administrators are responsible for evaluating and applying AI suggestions appropriately.

7. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the platform. We may perform scheduled maintenance with advance notice to club administrators. We are not liable for downtime caused by factors outside our control, including internet service providers, hosting infrastructure, or force majeure events.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LaceUp and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to LaceUp in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to LaceUp if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that is harmful to other users or the platform. Upon termination, your club may request an export of its data within 30 days. After 30 days, data may be permanently deleted.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify club administrators of material changes via email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of LaceUp after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Maricopa County, Arizona.
